How We Got Started

Powers Family Farm began with my dad, Lee Powers, and his lifelong love of farming. He grew up working on dairy farms with both of his grandfathers and always dreamed of raising a family on a farm of his own. After marrying my mom, Sandy, and welcoming my sister, Emily, and me, that dream became a reality. What started with four cows, three horses and a few chickens eventually grew into the farm we now call home in Villa Rica.

Agriculture has always been a part of our family, but over the years, the farm has grown into something even bigger. I’m Kendall, and I manage the day-to-day operations of Powers Family Farm. What began as my family’s working farm has become my passion and a place where I get to combine my love for agriculture, animals, children and our community.

Throughout the year, I welcome families to the farm for seasonal events, movie nights, animal experiences, birthday parties and other special activities. I also host school field trips, homeschool days and our annual summer farm camp, where children get hands-on experience caring for animals, learning where their food comes from and discovering what life on a farm is really like. Our general store also gives us the opportunity to support other local families and small businesses by carrying locally made products.

Behind every event are countless hours spent planning, caring for animals, preparing activities and finding new ways to make the farm a place people want to return to. It truly is a family effort, and I could not do any of it without the support and hard work of my family.

At the heart of Powers Family Farm is a simple mission: to create a place where families and friends can slow down, enjoy time together and escape the busyness of everyday life. We want children to learn where their food comes from, families to make lasting memories and everyone who visits to feel like they are part of our farm family.

We are incredibly thankful for every person who visits, attends an event, sends their child to camp or simply supports us from afar. This farm has grown far beyond what we originally imagined, and we cannot wait to see what God has planned for it next.
